10 years in the making

Louis Theroux was always going to make a film about Scientology, he just had to. According to Theroux, this film has been 10 years in the making, and for fans of his work it felt like this subject could be one to bring out the height of his passive, tongue-in-cheek style of filmmaking. His new documentaries have tackled serious subjects and have real journalistic merit, that is not in question. But who can forget his rapping with Master P in 'Gangsta Rap', or seeing him training with DeWayne Bruce in 'Wrestlers' from the Weird Weekends Strand, which now, unbelievably, is nearing twenty years old.
