Sunday Mass is a playlist of ten tracks we recommend you blast on your official day of rest. Ten Commandments in audio form. Thou shalt press play...
Koji - Honest
Koji is a recent soundcloud find of mine. The New Zealand producer creates the most blissed-out beats with a delicate instrumental approach to his music. Despite 'honest'not being Koji´s original production, this smooth remix is a total gem.
Dawn Richard - How I Get It
Dawn Richards' recent singles 'Not Above That' and 'Wake Up' were a much more EDM affair than earlier material - both produced by Machinedrum and released under her D∆WN moniker. However, recent EP Infrared was produced entirely by Kingdom and brought back a more airy r&b style. This track from the New Orleans singer-songwriter is a choice cut from Infrared, a soulful electronic sound that compliments her voice perfectly.
Lehvi - She Said Sorry
I had been sleeping on Lehvi. Finding the Munich producer recently brought both feelings of regret for not keeping up with European producers, and absolute excitement about the fresh find.
Mayzin and Romby - HWGA
Mayzin's half rap half sung compositions have recently been exposed on his last album Where To Next solely produced by Danyal. This track was produced by the super young and talented Texan producer Romby, combining soulful beats with Mayzins' melodical delivery.
Christian Rich - Still (feat. Tunje Ige, High Klassified and Kris Bowers)
Christian Rich is an LA based producer and DJ duo consisting of twin brothers Taiwo Hassan and Kehinde Hassan. On this track they collaborate with Tunje Ige and Montreal based producer High Klassified.
Lege Kale - Yeek The Drums
The Ohio producer Lege Kale celebrated hitting 20K followers on soundcloud with this free download - a soft trap remix of 'Yeek The Drums' with Ny Odus on the trumpet.
Omary Lyseight - Crusin
I recently came across the young South London producer and don't know much about him, but can assure you he is one to keep your eyes on.
Che Lingo - Channelling The Waves
Following on from his EP TRIP (The Risk is Proof), which he released in 2015, South London artist Che Lingo recently unveiled the creative visuals for his latest track ‘Channelling The Waves’. Produced by SJ Reid, ‘Channelling The Waves’ is a fusion of styles accompanied by Che Lingo's captivating flow.
Key! Feat Skepta - See No Evil
How did this even happen! Atlanta rapper has released a new album titled Before I Scream. The album finds collaboration with Skepta, who recently released his eagerly awaited album in May. Key! Has been establishing himself both in the US and Europe over the last year whilst Skepta’s reach has now gone far beyond the UK. Though unexpected, this collab fits the current transnational development that both trap and grime have experienced in recent years.
.sinh - early spring ft. Masego
The Enkhuizen/Amsterdam based producer Youri '.sinh' Ter Stiege teams up with young jazz vocalist, saxophonist and producer Masego to create 'Early Spring'. Youri '.sinh' is also responsible for founding ZenSupremacy a collective of forward thinking artists in different creative disciplines. Although not a recent track, it still doesn't take away from the musical masterpiece that it is so I had to include in this months Sunday Mass playlist.
