Cavern Of Anti-Matter is the new band from Stereolab mainman Tim Gane, now Berlin-based and collaborating with original Stereolab drummer Joe Dilworth, and synth wizard Holger Zapf. They have so far released a series of limited edition vinyl only releases, in addition to the void beats/invocation trex album that came out earlier on this year, with guest spots from Bradford Cox (Deerhunter) and Sonic Boom (Spacemen 3).
'I’m the unknown' is taken from a forthcoming 3-track EP, released via the band’s Duophonic label on 14 October 2016. They've shared a new music video for the title track, which was made by Sally Sibbet. Utilising a series of Stan Brakhage-style scratch frames, Sibbet concocts an appropriately psychedelic fantasia for Cavern Of Anti-Matter’s bright plastic synth melodies.
