The first levitating bonsai plant
By Abdullah Al-wali on February 4th 2016
Hoshinchu have created the world's first levitating bonsai plant. It can rotate whilst levitated or remain stationary, re-vamping the home plant with a futuristic aesthetic you’d find in a Ridley Scott film. Air Bonsai comprises of two components: the top half “little star”, where you place the real plant of your choice and the bottom half "energy base”. The “little star” floats two centimetres about the “energy base” with the help of built in magnets. They’ve currently surpassed their kickstarter campaign target of $80,000 and whilst the basic kit isn’t cheap at $200, it certainly adds some vibrant character to the traditional bonsai plant.
